Confirm release from the repair location
Ask the shop or property holder what must be resolved before the vehicle can leave. Do not schedule pickup while a lien, bill, authorization or possession dispute is unresolved.
List removed and loose components
Identify missing wheels, engine parts, battery, catalytic converter, body panels and interior pieces. Explain which parts belong to the vehicle and whether they can be transported.
Plan safe loading
Report whether the car rolls, steers and has keys. Keep loose parts organized, but do not reinstall heavy components or work under an unsupported vehicle.
