Create a Missing-Parts List
Identify missing wheels, catalytic converter, battery, engine, transmission, seats, doors, hood, electronics and keys. Avoid vague descriptions such as “mostly complete.”
Show How the Vehicle Sits
Photograph each corner and explain whether the car rests on tires, stands, blocks or the ground. Do not work beneath an unstable vehicle.
Explain Who Removed the Parts
If the car is at a shop or warehouse, confirm that the business is ready to release it and that loose components belonging with the vehicle are identified.
Reconfirm the Offer
Make sure the buyer reviewed the incomplete condition before dispatch. This reduces the chance of a different assessment at pickup.
